Beautifully renovated villa in an idyllic natural setting

A residence of exceptional character

This historic villa, once the residence of an industrialist, stands out for its imposing presence and generous proportions. Built around 1920, it underwent a comprehensive and carefully considered renovation beginning in 2020. Originally conceived as a prestigious residence and holiday home for an industrialist, it served for many decades after the Second World War as a popular holiday retreat for the Saxon artisans’ guild, known locally as the “Spitzbergbaude”. Today, following its extensive renovation, the villa offers an exclusive home of exceptional character, bringing history, architecture and nature together in harmony.

The main residence features high-quality fittings and finishes throughout, with approximately 550 m² of living space arranged over three levels. It currently comprises five bedrooms, four elegantly designed modern bathrooms, an artist’s studio and a study. Particular highlights include the fireplace room with its approximately 128 m² living area, and the bright, open gallery on the upper floor, which gives the house a remarkable sense of space and architectural elegance. A self-contained apartment of approximately 100 m² provides two further bedrooms and an open-plan living and dining area with a modern kitchen, making it ideal for guests, family members or use as a separate home.

The extensive garden and outdoor spaces offer exceptional privacy and a wide range of possibilities. The generous south-facing terrace is a welcoming setting for relaxing outdoors, with beautiful views across the approximately 3,000 m² grounds and into the idyllic Pöpeltal valley and its surrounding forests. The grounds include a well-maintained lawn with mature trees and rhododendrons, a firewood storage area and four outdoor parking spaces.

The villa enjoys a prime position in the historic villa district of Bärenfels, a traditional health resort. This distinguished residential setting is characterised by grand homes, tranquillity and a charming atmosphere. Shops, restaurants and schools are just a few minutes away. The surrounding countryside offers a wealth of opportunities for relaxation and leisure activities throughout the year.
