Looking for a distinctive property in Saxony also means choosing a particular way of life. Our selection takes you to Altenberg / Bärenfels in the Eastern Ore Mountains. Woodland and mountain meadows shape the surroundings. For a substantial house in this setting, consider how it would fit your everyday life as a permanent home or a place for regular stays.

Assess comfort and upkeep together. How would you use rooms across several floors, which areas need heating, and who would look after the house and grounds while you are away? Ask for an explanation of the renovation work, building systems and available energy information. Inspect vehicle access, parking and practical routes in the surrounding area. This turns an initial enthusiasm for architecture and nature into a considered shortlist for a viewing.
